The former Lille star is nursing a couple of knocks following the 3-3 draw on Friday against Mexico and was not seen training with the rest of the Belgian squad on Sunday.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez says the injuries are nothing too serious, but the Blues boss Antonio Conte will be hoping no risks are taken when Belgium face Japan in a friendly clash on Tuesday.

“Hazard did not train on Sunday but there is nothing serious,” Martinez told reporters ahead of the Japan game.

“He was hit on Friday, but there is nothing to be worried about, we are going to assess the situation tomorrow, the reasoning is the same for Romelu Lukaku and the other players who played more than 45 minutes on Friday.”

Chelsea will be keeping their fingers crossed Hazard is fit and well for their Premier League outing at West Brom on Saturday.
